I've been contentedly working at the same company for a few years now. I really the work and my coworkers are nice but last fall I had a complete lack of ambition. And it wasn't just me; everyone had a sour disposition. The company's president must've have noticed it too because before long everyone had to participate in a Business networking training day.

Initially I scoffed. Raised during the age of ironic t-shirts, coupled with childhood favorites like The Simpson's I greet most everything with an eye roll. This was before the actual workshop. But after the training sessions had ended my thoughts had undergone a complete change. The motivational speakers were intriguing, inspiring, and fun. The activities were useful. And even the snacks were tasty. Best of all I went back to the office with replenished motivation, substantial leadership abilities, and a more intimate relationship with my coworkers. Don't be a pessimist. The Business networking will do you some good.
